You were fooled to vote Buhari when he rubbed mentholatum, shed crocodile tears – Omokri
Former media aide of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has criticized Nigerians for falling to President Mohammadu Buhari’s trap in 2015 to clinch the seat of Power.
Reno, who posted on his official Facebook timeline on Saturday said the president applied Mentholatum on his handkerchief while addressing Nigerians, which induced ‘crocodile tears to roll out from his eyes.
Mentholatum is a liquid substance used for temporary relief of muscle or joint pain caused by strains, sprains, arthritis, bruising, or backaches etc.
He claimed that it was a political ploy used by many politicians to win the sympathy of general public or opponents to achieve their aim, adding that late Abacha used it against Abiola to destroy Shonekan’s government and it worked for him.
His post read: “All of you were FOOLED when General Buhari rubbed mentholatum on his handkerchief and used it to induce crocodile tears. Shebi you are now seeing the genuine Buhari now?
“Who is crying today? Buhari or you? When we told you did you listen? Enjoy your Buhari! What General Buhari has done to Sowore is a common Northern tactic. I lived in the North. I know.
“Abacha used it on Abiola. He used Abiola to destroy Shonekan. After Abiola destroyed Shonekan’s government, he was of no use to Abacha, so Abacha threw him in jail.”
