You don’t have to die to prove you’re patriotic, defend yourselves – Omokri to Nigerians
Disturbing security tissues rocking major states in Nigeria appears to be a concern Nigerians would worry about.
Reno Omokri, on Monday, wrote to Nigerians over unabated security challenges partly caused by marauding armed Herdsmen within host communities where they graze.
The former media aide cautioned citizens not to attack any herder and not provoke one.
His words partly; “Do not attack herdsmen, Do not provoke herdsmen”
But he encouraged everyone not to remain to appear patriotic amid danger, warned to always defend themselves as guaranteed by the United Nations articles on the right of self defence.
“But, if herdsmen attack or provoke you, then DEFEND yourselves
“You have a United Nations, @UN, guaranteed right to self defence. You do not have to die to prove you are patriotic!”
Similarly, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has called on open their eyes o er strange unfolding events regarding activities of the Fulani Herdsmen.
He cited that the President, Mohammadu Buhari, stating that the armed herdsmen invading communities are foreigners entails Nigeria is at war with foreign elements.
But in situations where the government fails to fight against the foreign invaders to protect the citizens rather than enabling them is treason against Nigerians.
“If the FULANI terrorists invading your communities are FOREIGNERS as late @MBuhari had said, then Nigeria is at war with FOREIGN elements but instead of fighting them off & protecting you, the @NGRPresident is enabling them. That’s TREASON against Nigerians. Open your eyes!” Kanu tweeted on Monday.
