The leader of Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Ralph Uwazuruike has condemned the action of the Rivers State government on lockdown defaulters.
Governor Nyesom Wike had on Sunday supervised the demolition of a hotel building in Eleme Local government over failure to observe the lockdown order by the state government to check the spread of Coronavirus.
Wike had announced during a State House broadcast last week extension of all activities and placed 24 hours restriction of movement in Obio/Akpo and Port Harcourt City.
He also stated strict consequences on any defaulters both to auction seized vehicles, demolish the building of any resorts, bars, hotels others to render services throughout the period.
Reacting to the demolition of the hotel belonging to People’s Democratic Party Youth Leader, Uwazuruike described the governor’s action as autocratic.
Speaking in a video message sent to SCANNEWS24 Social Media Unit, the secessionist leader said” How can you destroy people’s hotel simply because you are a governor.
“What, the nonsense governor is that one. Who are you?
“If anyone contravenes the law why can’t you seal up the place.
He, however, described the Wike as “nonsense”, challenged him to try same in Imo State.
