Why Lagos Govt ban Okada in 6 LGA
It was reported that there was chaos on Thursday as police men and motorcycle riders chased in differed Local governments – Iyana Iba, Alaba, Agric, Barracks ends of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.
It was compiled that the conflict began after men of the Lagos State Environmental and Special Offences Enforcement Unit (Task Force) and the Rapid Response Squad toured the areas to carry out the state traffic law.
Based on reports the enforcers were said to have confiscated motorcycles along the expressway and also handed out a note to residents at the Alaba Rago Market to evacuate the premises.
Some of the motorcyclists, however, denied the seizure of their motorcycles, which led to a vlash between them and the security operatives.
However, Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, said over 200 motorcycles were confiscated by the officers during the attack.
The Motorcycle Operators Association of Lagos State refused to comments on the issue.
