Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari breaks rain gimmicks on Thursday as he commissioned two road projects constructed by the Katsina State Government, despite the drizzling rain.
The President, while commissioning the Kasina raod projects, openly queried the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu for failing to provide raincoats to policemen who were on duty.
During the project, 22km Fargo-Katsayal-Kwasarawa-Jirdede-Koza road, the president noticed that policemen on duty were not wearing raincoats, even as it was lightly raining.
Exhibiting worry, the president the most senior police officer, an AIG, who closer at the venue, “why did you leave your men in rain, without raincoats?” Daily Trust reports.
In what turns as shock, the AIG failed to respond, he appeared mum. Buhari further instructed him that he would raise the issue with the IG.
Meanwhile, some soldiers at the commissioning ground were were captured wearing their raincoats, Daily Trust reports.
