What working for Buhari has done to me
A Senior Spokesperson of President Muhammadu Buhari, Femi Adesina, has lamented the backlashes he receives from Nigerians on social media.
The presidential aide said his daughter “almost cried” over some “misconceptions” she had read about him online.
Speaking with newsmen at the weekend, Adesina who was recently quoted to have said that it was better that Nigerians give their lands to the government for building of cattle ranches than to be killed, claimed that most of the things said about him on social media were untrue, fabricated and twisted.
He said, “I remember my daughter who was in the university then and she called me and was almost crying and said ‘all these things I read on social media about you, this is not you.
“I then I told her ‘since you know that it is not me, then let your heart be at peace knowing that it is not your daddy, it is a creation of the social media.’”
Adesina further explained that his job as Buhari’s spokesman gives him a “sense of fulfilment” because the president is “making a difference” in the country.
He also said his joy working for Buhari is that, “a lot of Nigerians are with him (the president).”“For me, it gives me a sense of fulfillment that I’m working with a man that is making a difference in Nigeria,” he said.
