The Nigerian High Commission building in Ghana is reportedly demolished by an angry businessman for encroaching into his land.
In the dramatic event which occurred in the early hours of Saturday unchallenged, is yet to be clarified by the Nigerian government.
According to reports by Channels Television, the Commission’s staff quarter was brought down after the Businessman presented documents to back up his claims.
One of the staff who briefed newsmen confirmed that armed uniform men arrived at the premises and forcefully cleared them off before destroying the aforesaid building.
The Security man who introduced himself as Emmanuel said he was called by one of his workers, upon arrival, he noticed that the building was already demolished.
He later consulted Head of Embassy in view to get the police involved but till the time of this report, no Police presence was recorded to intervene for Nigeria.
According to the Security Chief, the only sighted Police officers that arrived at the scene went straight to the man, had a mutual conversation with businessman without hearing from them.
Protesters at the scene urged the federal government of Nigeria to rise up against the tyranny despite the threat to both countries’ bilateral relationship.
