Biafran leader, Ralph Uwazuruike has expressed joy over the ban of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) within Rivers State and its environ by the government.

Uwazuruike reacted in a video message two days following the classification of IPOB by Barrister Nyesom Wike, the state governor.

Wike had on Thursday through his Special Assistant on Media, Kelvin Ebiri, announced the reinforcement of proscription on IPOB’s activities in the state, directed security agents to look after promoters and members.

The MASSOB chief, in his reaction, condemned IPOB’s recent role at the End SARS demonstration, inciting the public and ordering attacks against Igbo leaders.

He supported and welcomed the governor’s decision, urged the South East governors to take the same step to classify IPOB as a terrorist group.

He noted Kanu’s orders to kill people, soldiers, policemen, burn houses, and Ohanaeze leader, Nnia Nwodo shows the group is not conducting peaceful agitation.

Giving a brief on how Nnamdi Kanu joined the Biafra quest, Uwazuruike narrated that he picked him up in 2009 after opening Radio Biafra London.

He said along the line, the Nigeria State Security Service snatched Kanu from him to do ‘a Yoman job’ job after taking one Ambrus Anyaso.

SSS, according to Ralph Uwazuruike, assigned both Kanu and Ambrus including Arinze Igbani, to bring down Biafra’s struggle, but they declined except the IPOB leader.

He said, however, the contract between Kanu and the federal government failed along the line.

He advised the general public not to take Kanu seriously noting that he is mad, the same way his immediate elder brother clinically died of madness.

He also refuted the allegation that Igbos took part in the destruction of lives and properties in Lagos state, urged the governor, Sanwo-Olu to set a commission of inquiry to ascertain the culpability.
