Video: Nigeria is fighting symptoms instead of cause of xenophobia – Ben Bruce
Ben Murray-Bruce has finally waded into xenophobic attacked orchestrated by South Africa on foreigners, mainly, Nigerians residence in their country.
In a statement on his official Facebook page, Bruce said Nigeria is yet to look into the cause of the ugly attack rather fighting the symptoms.
The former senator of the 8th Chamber of the National Assembly attached a video to arrive at his claim.
In his statement: ”
Nigeria is fighting the symptoms of xenophobia and not the cause.
This is why:
Nigerians and other foreigners were early last week attacked in South Africa following the killing of a taxi driver.
After so many properties worth millions of dollars were destroyed including burning of car stand and other businesses, Nigerians, and other African countries carried out a reprisal attack on South African owned companies.
MTN Nigeria, Shoprite DSTV and other giant companies were attacked, while their business offices shut down indefinitely.
Meanwhile, a video had emerged that no Nigerian was involved in the killing of the dead taxi driver.
