VIDEO: IPOB lion squad resurfaces in Anambra, demand release of Nnamdi Kanu, others
Residents in Anambra State on Thursday witnessed protest by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The protesters, Lion Squad called for the release of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, and other members under police detention in Nigeria.
In a sighted clip circulating online, the youths with Biafra Branded outfit, flag, inscribed placard, and mask said they are peaceful.
They warned to be destructive if the government fails to honour their request.
This is coming five days before the scheduled date of IPOB leader’s continued seating at the federal high court Abuja.
Kanu has been detained at the DSS facility for over six months.
According to the AGF Kanu was rearrested to continue his court case however, the circumstances surrounding arrest have been disclosed including the county involved.
Meanwhile, IPOB has claimed Kanu was illegally picked up in Kenya.
