VIDEO: Armed Herdsmen Celebrates Abduction of 23 Travelers
A suspected Fulani Herdsmen, in a viral clip, have celebrated the abduction of over twenty-three Travelers whisked away in Minna on Monday.
The gunmen men overran the travellers along Minna – Kontagora road.
The abductors were seen shooting in the air in form of jubilation.
The yet-to-be-identified hoodlums reportedly flagged down a Niger State Transit Authority (NSTA) bus in the Yakila district of the Rafi Local Government Area by noon of February 15 and fled with over twenty passengers.
Speaking Hausa, the criminals warned soldiers not to haunt them or they risk their lives.
They demanded the sum of five hundred million from the Niger State Government, one of the victims pleaded for help.
They also threatened to kill their hostages if the government fails to bring the requested ransom.
They boasted not being afraid of security as their operations are mainly within the bushes.
They are more than two hundred members, the ring leader revealed.
This goes to underscores the pervasive security challenges and the threat of kidnapping internal criminal elements in Nigeria.
