Unknown Gunmen Kill 8 in Abia
Killing in Nigeria is gradually turning becoming a daily trend and normal security where both security personnel and civilians are bereaved of ideas as they are equally endangered.
Just barely 24 hours gun runners attacked a police checkpoint in Imo, in a sketchy development, unknown armed men said to have attacked policemen in Ohafia in Abia State.
According to gathered reports, eight police operatives were said to have lost their lives during the attack.
Police are yet to brief the general public on the ugly incident at the time of filing this report.
Meanwhile, law practitioners under the aegis of Nigeria Bar Association, Anambra, today held a peaceful walk over the kidnap and murder of their member who is also President General of Omor Community in Ayamelum Local Government Area, Mr. Francis Onwuachu.
The legal practitioners were in their hundreds drawn from 8 divisions in the state, marched to Judicial headquarters Awka, and then retired at government house.
Various attempts to rescue Onwuachu through security agencies in the state were abortive.
He was kidnapped two Fridays ago by suspected gunmen and the corpse dropped out a week later.
