Those Against South-West Internal Security Wants it Turn To Abattoir – Kayode
Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has attacked some Nigerians condemning the internal security outfit, Operation Amotekun, organised to beef up security structure in the country.
He said those set of individuals showing wrong feelings over the vigilante group in the south-west region of Nigeria are only interested to watch the people killed helplessly.
He also said they want to turn the region as abattoir where people will be slaughter with impunity where no will rise for their help.
Kayode, the Peoples Democratic Party stalwart had earlier commended the security initiative described it as the best to have done to the region in the last four years.
The former aviation minister, however, commended the South-West governors and those involved in the security formation and establishment.
Kayode, who defined self-determination as the first law for everyone further called on the South-South and the South-East governors to borrow a leaf from their South West counterpart.
Operation Amotekun (OA) is a joint security outfit brought together by the governors of South-West Nigeria, including Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti states.
Meanwhile, the security body has been criticised by Northern Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) on Thursday in a statement made public by Isa Abubakar, the group’s president.
NYCN said OA is a threat to National security threat adding that the membership is an outbreak of Oduduwa People’s Congress (OPC), called on stakeholders to rise against it.
The statement also noted that the brand new security group is not different rampaging terrorist Group, Boko Haram and secessionist group, Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
