The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Director of Radio Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has released video footage of two persons killed at the family house of his lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor on Monday.
The attack at Ifeanyi Ejiofor’s house, the Lawyer to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, sparked social media and reactions from sympathizers for both divides of Nigerian Police and IPOB, throwing blames and counter blames on what, who started the clash.
In what later turned to a clash, two officers of the Nigeria Police, ACP Oliver Abbey, Area Commander, Oraifite and ASP Joseph Akubo, attached to Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) were gunned down, burnt along with their patrol van.
John Abang, the Commissioner of Police in the state, announced on Tuesday while speaking with some journalists in Awka, the capital.
In his word: “I’ll like Nigerians to know that Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor (a member of the proscribed IPOB) has been declared wanted.
“I’ll seek the cooperation of law-abiding Nigerians, East, West, North and South that wherever they find this individual, they should report to the nearest police station for possible arrest and prosecution based on the rules and laws of Nigeria.”
Barrister Ejiofor’s disappearance became obvious after joint security operatives allegedly invaded his house in Ifite Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government Area Anambra State, leaving over two members of IPOB dead.
The leader of the secessionist group on Wednesday shared the video on his Facebook pages, said the police officers killed without provocation.
He accused local mainstream in the country of distorting the truth and concentrated in reporting lies adding that the truth speaks for itself and can not be hidden.
In his words: These are the dead bodies of Mr Izuchukwu Nwato and Mr Mathew Okoro shot dead in Barrister Ifeanyi Ejofor’s compound when Nigeria Police stormed his home and without provocation opened fire on innocent citizens.
Nigeria media and their police can lie and distort the truth all they like but the facts as presented here speak for itself. Nigeria Police went to the home of a defence attorney in an ongoing case and decided to kill everybody on site. The truth cannot be hidden.Exposed!!! They should come up with their evidence. IPOB is too much.
