The Taliban-controlled country of Afghanistan has destroyed thousands of highly-rated gadgets mainly cellphones following the new policy to stop the use of mobile products and other banned materials.

What appears unattainable for Nigerians has since triggered condemnation online describing the act as wicked and inhumane.

According to the report, the sighted gadgets on viral clips were seized from users in the country and finally burnt to ashes.

After taking over from the democratic government, the Taliban-led authorities had at the middle of last year April mounted checkpoints in Kabul, searching for residents communicating in English, the report says.
