Soldiers arrests Chiwetalu Agu for wearing Biafra attire in Aba (Video)
Popular Nollywood Actor, Chiwetalu Agu was reportedly picked by men of the Nigerian military for wearing a branded material that appears to be Biafra attire.
Based on reports, Agu was apprehended in Upper Iweka, Onitsha by a number of soldiers on Thursday, a viral video revealed.
The actor lately has been on the news for rocking to the public a Biafran outfit.
Agitators in Southern Nigeria have been banned from bringing to public Biafra-related items including flags, banners.
This was contained in a proscription law by the governors of the states that warned users to desist or face the law.
Recall the freedom fighters under the aegis of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have faced brutal clampdown by the federal government for protesting Biafra sovereign nation.
According to a report by Amnesty International over one hundred and fifty members of IPOB were slain by the Nigerian forces.
An official statement has not been made either by the army or the Actor’s handlers.
