Police, Military Move To End Sit-At-Home Orders  In Southeast – AIG

Mr. Umar Muri, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in control of Zone 13 Ukpo, has stated that the police commands in Enugu and Anambra states along with the Nigerian Military are working together to stop the observation of sit-at-home orders within the states.

Though the police boss spoke in regards to the two states under his management, sources stated that similar efforts had been made by different commands to make sure that an end is put to the exercise within the South East.

Disclosing at Zone 13 headquarters briefly after decorating officers attached to the two commands who were lately elevated by the police authority, Mr. Muri stated the sit-at-home is illegal, and that the Law enforcement officials are doing their best to make sure that it’s not in existence within the two states.

The AIG was assisted by the Commissioners of Police of the two states throughout the occasion.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, had in an announcement ordered that the sit-at-home exercise has been canceled, and that anybody or group of individuals imposing the order have to be handled as criminals.

The group urged people to disregard anyone imposing Monday’s sit-at- home order and go about their regular businesses, describing those implementing the order as enemies of Ndigbo.
