Police Affairs Minister Reiterate FG’s Commitment In Tackling Nigeria’s Insecurity
Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, the Minister of Police Affairs on Tuesday, reportedly reiterated the commitment of the President Mohammadu Buhari’s led administration to tackling insecurity in the country.
Maigari noted that the re-establishment of the Ministry of Police Affairs was a pointer to the strategy of government in making sure insecurity becomes thing of the past.

The Minister, who promised to work closely with other security agencies to enhance service delivery, assured police officers that they will be motivated accordingly, the PUNCH reports.
The Assistant Director, Media and Communications, Odutayo Oluseyi, quoted the minister as saying these at the official handing over ceremony from the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Barr. Georgina E Ehuriah to him and the newly posted Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Police Affairs, Dr. Maurice Mbaeri Nnamdi.
While expressing gratitude, Oluseyi thanked the permanent secretary of the interior ministry, expressed his desire to have a high-level cooperation with the new Permanent Secretary and the entire staff of the ministry.
According reports, Dr. Nnamdi while Speaking earlier, assured the minister of his full cooperation, called on staff of the ministry to work towards achieving the ministry’s set objectives.
The permanent secretary of the interior ministry on her own part, said the mandate of the ministry included the formulation of polices and pension administration of officers.
The permanent secretary suggested the need to create more Departments as well as supplementary budget for the Ministry of Police Affairs for effective operation.
