Nnamdi Kanu Opens New Facebook Account (see link)
Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has opened yet another Facebook account.
This is regarding the sudden deactivation of the official Facebook page by the social network giant, Facebook a few days ago.
Clarifying over the incident Thursday, the firm’s spokesman, noted that the company wants every client on the social platform to feel safe.
Speaking in Lagos, the representative further added that violation of the Community Standard which has in detail all rules, allows the company to remove violators. “We believe in giving people a voice, but we also want everyone using Facebook to feel safe. It’s why we have Community Standards, which set out what is and isn’t allowed on Facebook, and we remove anything that violates them”
He stated that Kanu’s page was removed for violating the community standard over a number of times on hate speech. “In line with our rules, we removed Nnamdi Kanu’s page for repeatedly posting content that breaks those Community Standards, including content that violated our rules on coordinating harm and hate speech”
On the contrary, IPOB disagreed with the claims of posting against the community standards as stipulated by Facebook management.
He, however, charged that the social network company branch in Lagos and Abuja allied with oppressive force of federal government of Nigeria to stop from reaching his supporters.
