NBA: Commence impeachment proceedings against President Buhari…
The Nigeria Bar Association has expressed deep anger over the scuttle between Department of State Service (DSS) and activist, Omoyele Sowore at the courtroom during proceedings on Friday.
Reacting on their official Twitter handle @NigBarAssoc, on Saturday, NBA blamed President Mohammadu Buhari of the inhumane treatment and beach of rule of law.
NBA directed the senate to sack Bichi Yusuf Magaji, the Director-General of DSS or prepare impeachment of the President if they fail to layoff the DG following desecration of the court on Friday.
The tweet read: “The DSS is under the direct control of @MBuhari. A responsible @nassnigeria should pass a resolution requesting the immediate sacking of the DSS DG and other agents found culpable.
“If the President refuses to abide by the same, NASS should commence impeachment proceedings. #SoworeInDanger,”
Recall the human rights activist and journalist is levied treasonable felony and cyber-stalking by the Federal Government. His rearrest is against a subsisting court order and is to be arraigned on fresh charges.
