The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) of Biafra addresses members ahead of President Mohammadu Buhari’s visit to Imo State.
The president had scheduled to touch down the Eastern region to commission some accomplished projects, the state Governor, Hope Uzodinma has revealed.
The Biafra group consequently had issued a sit-at-home order restraining Imo’s residence from the working visit.
IPOB had engaged in civil disobedience since a continued clampdown on agitators by security forces. Since the rearrest of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu a ‘Ghost Town’ order was ignited mainly Mondays in solidarity with the detained embattled leader.
However, IPOB’s Directorate had suspended the indoor order following instruction by Nnamdi Kanu through the lead Lawyer Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
The exercise is said to be observed only on court days. Still, members are expected to sit back home on 9th and 14th September, against Buhari visit and ‘Saboteurs Day’ respectively.
Chinasa Nworu noted on Wednesday in a shared update on his Facebook page DOS would hold an interactive section today, 8th September 2021 on Radio Biafra 102.1 FM by 7 PM, urged members to tune in.
Days ago, the group added a US-based Human Rights Lawyer, Bruce Fien regarding the continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu at the DSS detention facility.
A suit had been filed requesting Kanu be transferred to Correction Center to grant easy access to his family and medicals.
