Aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media, Lauretta Onochie, has hailed the Department of State Services (DSS) over prompt arrest to save Sowore from harm.

The media aide, who made the statement on her Twitter handle, on Saturday, August 3 said the DSS is saddled with the responsibility of protecting lives and properties.

The presidential aide said Sowore arrest and detention geared towards preventing him from harming himself.

Sowore, who is a human rights activist, pro-democracy campaigner, founder of online news agency Sahara Reporters was arrested Saturday morning at his home.

His arrest by the DSS could be as a result of his plans to mobilised people in Lagos and many parts of the country for a revolution protest tagged ‘ Days of Rage’ to demand a better Nigeria.

Sowore tweeted: ” DSS invades Sowore’s”.
