JUST IN: Soldiers Barricade Onitsha Head Bridge, another soldiers killed
Men of the Nigerian military are reportedly said to have barricaded Onitsha Head Bridge following the loss of six armies to gunmen.
The obstruction of vehicular and foot movement was enforced after unknown gunmen raided soldiers at Ihiala LGA, Anambra State, killing at least six.
One of the passengers who experienced the unfortunate situation said vehicles entering Onitsha from Lagos were restricted while only motorcyclists and passengers were permitted to pass the Head Bridge.
In another development, journalists of Vanguard Newspaper have also experienced a similar situation early Saturday.
#Scannews24 had earlier reported an eyewitness account of heavy shooting in Imo state late Friday.
The source noted that some unidentified armed force took soldiers within Wetheral Road unaware, shot dead five.
The shooters drove into the area and start firing sporadically, causing residents to scamper for safety.
