IPOB reveals the source of arms reassures protection against criminals
The Indigenous People of Biafra have uncovered how they get arms used by its group safety body, Eastern Security Network.
While responding on Thursday to the assertion reportedly made by the Department of State Security the secessionist organization plans to secure arms fund through bank robbery.
The group’s publicity representative, Emma Powerful described the claim as a script by the Nigerian security department.
IPOB noted that the group can locally produce arms and not in any need of money to purchase guns.
In his words: “We are not looking for money to buy arms because we produce our arms locally.
He assured commercial banks of safety restating that IPOB members are not criminals but freedom fighters.
The statement further noted that the move by the DSS is wicked propaganda targeted at denting global reputation of ESN and IPOB through blackmail.
“IPOB and ESN are not criminals and we have no plans or agenda to touch any institution particularly banks.
“We are not looking for money to buy arms because we produce our arms locally and cannot attack or kidnap anybody for ransom.
“We don’t inflict pains on the people we are fighting for their freedom.
IPOB called on the security operatives to desist from poor script that cannot fly and focus on meaningful activities. Also added that ESN remains in mandate to “defend Biafra land against Fulani terrorists and killer herdsmen,”
He, however, warned banks to be vigilant of imminent attacks possibly to executed by DSS noting the Police fragment may be planning to carry out a similar attack to blame it IPOB and ESN.
Armed robbers were also cautioned against any attempt to blame the groups of any robbery, said they would regret their action. Powerful said.
