I’m not in politics to solve Nigeria’s problem but because of unemployment – Amaechi
Self-acclaimed Lion of Niger Delta also Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi has disclosed why he joined active Politics.
The Former Rivers State Governor, while speaking with Newsmen noted that he entered politics following the problem of unemployment rocking Nigeria.
Scarcity of job has been one of the major issues affecting Nigeria and its economy predictably since the flip into a democratic government.
Unarguably, a larger number of youths in the country have been influenced into unimaginable vices to another traceably due to frustration attached to lack of job.
Amaechi has served in several capacities in Nigeria politics over 20 years ranging from local government Councillor, State Governor, Commissioner and Ministerial positions.
The Linguist said it appeared coincidentally at a time he was waiting to be employed in a firm as a broadcaster politics served opportunity.
He, however, acknowledged that his embrace of politics was because of unemployment and never for solving Nigeria’s issues or becoming a leader.
