Celebrated Yoruba born rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo is widely known as Igboho has threatened to spearhead a wide-ranging action within South West following believed Bank account frozen by the Federal government.
Igboho, also known for his interest to restore the republic of Oduduwa made it to the limelight after issuing quit notice to Fulani settlers in Oyo sometimes three weeks ago.
He bemoaned that government’s decision to freeze his account was linked to reports pointing that people were receiving donations on his behalf.
He refuted connection with the aforesaid purported donations and warned to embark on nationwide protest if the federal government fails to unfreeze his bank account.
He maintained to continue his quest to end any form of criminality within Southwest region adding community members are scared of attacks by rampaging armed herdsmen.
In his words: “They have frozen my bank accounts because I am fighting a just cause. I know Yoruba people are behind me.
I will not relent. I must achieve my aims by putting an end to criminalities in Yorubaland. If they refuse to release my accounts, there will be serious protests across the South-West.
Yes, the Yorubas are living in fear. They are afraid that the killer-herdsmen might attack them.” he said
