I congratulate Edo people for standing against injustice – Rochas
The past governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has reacted to the winning and return of the Edo state governor, Godwin Obaseki in the just concluded gubernatorial election.
Rochas who was reacting in a viral video made available to Scannews24 said he would congratulate Edo people if privileged to do so for standing against injustice.
He remarked that the people of the state know what is right and stood by it.
He maintained that what transpired after the Edo poll is what scares him most and has been lamenting on it, though, Peoples Democratic Party won the election but the people of the state won his heart.
The All Progress Congress stalwart revealed that not only PDP voted in the concluded poll, said both his party, members, APC, voted against Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
He blamed the failure of APC on Hope Uzodinma of Imo State and Adams Oshiomhole, noting that they had nothing to offer from the beginning.
However, he lamented that people have taken advantage of president Mohammadu Buhari’s calmness in virtually everything and they have betrayed the trust reposed in them in governance.
Obaseki, who contested under PDP smashed his closest opponent, Pastor Ize-Iyamu 307955 votes leaving him behind with (223619) votes.
