The royal bodies of late HRM, Eze and Lolo Okwu Kanu were laid to rest in-ground style.
People from all walks of life were recorded in attendance including monarchs from Rivers, Imo, Anambra, Delta, Politicians and diverse personnel.
The former governor of Anambra State, Dr Peter Obi and Victor Umeh, Senator Adolphus Nwagbara, and minority leader at the senate, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe were duly present.
The bodies left mortuary to his hometown and were later taken to church for the funeral sermon and returned to the palace, at their lying state.
Family members, friends, monarchs and in-laws were allowed to bid their final farewell and thereafter proceeded to the graveside where they were finally laid to rest.
Calmness and peaceful atmosphere were recorded as shops, business centres, major markets general business activities shutdown in Abia state to observe the royal burial.
