How Student Got Shot After Demanding His Phone From Robbers
The community of Nigerian students was thrown into a mourning mood two days ago following the loss of a mate’s life to a group of armed robbers.
The deceased student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka met his untimely death after confronting the criminals that invaded his apartment, Success Lodge Ifite.
He was dangerously shot in his stomach which led to an excess flow of blood.
According to an eyewitness, the victim, simply identified as Daniel, was quickly rushed to a nearby clinic for medical attention.
Unfortunately, after several efforts to stop the wasting blood and make a quick transfusion, he gave up the ghost.
Daniel, who until his tragic incident was among the two-hundred-level (200L) Philosophy Students of the aforementioned university was declared dead by the medical personnel.
This has since stirred concern among people grieving the irreplaceable loss.
What is the worth of a fading cellphone that one could risk his or her life over? Such a situation requires no seconds to exchange words and talk more of engaging in physical dragging.
Human life is precious and should be accorded respect when faced with a similar challenge.
