Risikat Saliman, a 35-year-old pregnant lady, has been shot dead during a conflict between believed cult gangs at Aleke community in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
The cult elements, based on reports, raided the locale around 8 pm on bikes, shot sporadically within the area, killing the woman.
Chief Adeniyi Okemati, who is the Baale of Aleke, stated that the hooligans had shot the heavy woman before policemen could arrive.
In his words: “I don’t know why they came and be terrorizing our people. We want the Lagos government to intervene so that we can collectively curb the menace to enable my people to sleep with their two eyes closed.”
He pleaded to the Lagos State Government to interfere as a matter of urgency for the security of lives and property in the neighborhood.
