Herders abduct Church official, takeover Benue communities, faces ESN gunfire (Video)
Rampaging kidnappers stirs palpable tension in Ogbadibo’s Owukpa Community of Benue State following a fierce attack by armed men kidnapping residents.
According to gathered reports, the gunmen suspected to be Fulani Herdsmen raided Ogbadibo LGA of the state on Wednesday kidnapped Mr. Patrick Jerome of St Mary Immaculate Church Aho.
The clergyman was said to have been freed Friday after a certain amount of ransom was paid.
On a similar occasion, the unidentified gunners arrived at a popular Aho Market with heavy ammunition sporadically releasing gunfire to scare people, thereafter whisked off the wife of the village, Aaron Gabriel generally called Randy to an unknown place.
Confirming to newsmen on Sunday, Mr. Randy briefed that his wife was attending to customers in the shop when the criminals came.
He additionally noted the heavily armed herders made away with food items and cash from wive’s shop.
