Gunmen kill Police officers in Imo, razed buildings
Disturbance in Imo state has resumed after weeks of calmness from disturbing security problems.
Two police personnel were said to have been attacked and confirmed dead following a bloody raid by unidentified armed men in the state.
According to reports gathered by #Scannews24, the rampaging raiders razed to ashes police divisional headquarters in Njaba, Orlu zone on Friday night time.
The neighborhood of Umuaka, Okwudor, and its environs witnessed a sleepless night following sporadically raining gunshots sustained for hours by the unknown gunmen.
However, an investigation conducted by PUNCH has revealed that Federal Medical Center no longer has space to accommodate further corpses at the mortuary.
This is linked to continued killings in the state mainly by the Nigerian security agents. Imo state, since the installation of Hope Uzodinma as the state governor, has recorded increased death of innocent people.
Uzodinma has maintained a clampdown on internal security volunteers under the aegis of Eastern Security Network, a vigilante arm of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) set up to protect rural areas majorly bushes against rampaging killers.
