Gunmen Kidnap About 300 Schoolgirls in Zamfara
Nigeria appears to be a fertile ground for the kidnapping of schoolchildren.
Barely three weeks after the country suffers a major blow by the rampaging kidnappers in the North, almost three-hundred (300) schoolgirls of GSS Jangebe in Zamfara state are reportedly whisked away.
The shocking but regrettable news was made public by BBC Hausa Service early Friday, reported that a yet to be identified gunmen ravaged the school last night.
The media giant, BBC HAUSA report noted that a staff of the affected school and one parent confirmed the ugly incident on Friday.
However, either the state government or police authorities, have made an open statement regarding the unfortunate development.
