Fulfil Abiola’s Promise, Bid Farewell To Poverty – Ben Bruce Urges Buhari
The immediate past member of 8th senate, Ben Murray-Bruce has urged President Mohammadu Buhari to live MKO Abiola dreams.

The Bayelsa state born entertainment guru made this statement on his Facebook social handle on Thursday.
Bruce said for the All Progressive Congress led administration to accept June 12 as democracy day to remember the late Yoruba born politician as winner of the 1993 presidential election they should seem it fit to live by his “vision”.
In his words: “Now that this administration has aligned itself with Chief MKO Abiola’s vision, I urge the government to go all the way and fulfil Abiola’s promise to bid farewell to poverty in Nigeria.
He further expressed worry the state Nigeria has found itself under Buhari’s watch as world Poverty headquarters.
“Right now, we are the world headquarters for extreme poverty. Abiola would not have been happy with that. Not at all. Not at all.
President Muhammadu Buhari had directed on 6 June 2018 that the nation’s Democracy Day will, henceforth, hold on June 12 of every year as against the current arrangement where the ceremony holds on May 29.
Buhari resolved to honour the winner of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election, Chief Moshood Abiola, with the highest national honour, the Grand Commander of the Federal Republic.
