The former military head of state, Yakubu Gowon has made a clarification on the issues that brought about the 1967 – 1970 Nigeria and Biafra Civil War.
Gowon, who was entertaining questions on Channels Television to mark the 50th anniversary, end of Nigeria civil war said political disagreement led to war.
Citing the main uproar that ignited clash between him and the then Eastern Region governor, Chief Chukwuemeka O. Ojukwu, Gowon said he responded “In Aburi you will fall” to Ojukwu’s statement “In Aburi I stand”.
