ESN Akwa Ibom Unit now launched (Video)
Akwa Ibom State unit of the Eastern Security Network has been launched for immediate operation.
In a video post shared on his Facebook early Monday 11 December IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu maintained that ESN is not for South East service alone.
He said the group is here to serve every major ethnic nationality in the old eastern region and beyond including South South.
Kanu revealed that the membership comprises of male and female personnel.
Recall that the security operation of Eastern Security Network was launched to complement the internal safety efforts existing in some parts of the country – Amotekun in the West and Hisbah in the North.
Kanu, who is the commander of the group, weeks ago said some criminally minded individuals rampaging within communities in the eastern regions have turned forests and farmlands into rapping killing fields.
He noted that the gaps created by the states’ governors for Fulani Herdsmen to be destroying lives and properties will not be tolerated.
He warned perpetrators to relocate to urban cities and live like other patriotic citizens than heading towards rural communities to unleash mayhem.
However, a series of footage have surfaced indicating an unwelcomed position of the Nigerian military as they comb bushes believed to be searching for a recruitment camp of the vigilante group.
