#EndSARS: The Journey Has Just Begun – Banky W roars, suggest next move

Nigerian music artist, Olubankole Wellington, also called by his stage name, Banky W has called on the youth calling for Police reform to consider engaging an alternative strategy to enable them to move forward.

He noted that call for the force complete reform is one amongst other problems the country is presently challenged

The Nigerian celebrity made the call on via his official Twitter handle on Friday following President Mohammadu Buhari’s speech which many referred to as ’empty’.

The president made a nationwide address barely a week after suspected military personnel invaded protesters venue at Lekki Concession Company on Tuesday leaving several persons dead and many deeply injured.

Buhari, in his long-awaited broadcast, skipped mentioning the epic center of the #endsars movement which triggered wide condemnation by the international communities and human rights groups regards the attack.

Wellington, who is among millions of disappointed Nigerians suggested having a national zoom conference to ‘share victims stories, talk about our protest experiences, and exchange ideas about the way forward’.

He describes the demonstration as a marathon covering beyond Police reform and the journey to actualize it “just begun”.

Though, he said the plan is premeditated and could have diverse views in discussion both from Victims and Survivors, top personalities like “feminist co (FK & Odun). Macaroni, Falz, Rinu, Akin, Chioma Chuka, Aisha Yesufu, Tola. Moe, Phyno. Flavour and Sam Adeyemi.

He, however, advised that the energy must be carried on by talking about the ugly but regrettable incident and chat way forward. His Tweet
