#EndSARS: Sanwo-Olu finally reveals who ordered Shooting of Lekki Tollgate (Video)
The Lagos state government has made yet another revelation relating to the shooting carried out at Lekki Concession Company last week Tuesday.
The youth had converged at the Lekki Tollgate to register their grievances over the killing of innocent Nigerians and a series of rights abuses by the disbanded police unit, Special Anti Robbery Squad.
The Youth, under the non-denominational #EndSARS movement, called for the complete scrapping of the police department and the force reform.
On the twelfth night of the rally, according to trended footages, some uniform men believed to be Nigerian soldiers overrun the venue firing at protesters.
The ugly incident claimed over ten lives and leaving several with deep injuries.
However, the military had denied involvement in the extrajudicial execution, noting that the viral videos were ‘photoshopped’.
During a media chat with CNN on Monday, via teleconference, Sanwo-Olu told that the shooting was ordered by the military, referencing videos at his disposal.
He responded when asked the part of the security services that carried out the shooting.
Requesting to know the governor’s next line of action, if the perpetrators will be brought to face judgment, he expressed certainty that even CCTV incriminating footages will be made available for investigation.
He further assured that after investigations, anyone pronounced guilty of the killing will be persecuted.
