Nigeria’s readiness to evacuate some Nigerians abroad may come to stall following recent comment by Comedian Patrick Onyeke expressed dissatisfaction over the plan.
Abike Dabiri-Erewa, who is the chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) had requested interested from Nigerians in diaspora ready to return home country over the ravaging pandemic, COVID-19.
Reacting, Patrick, who spoke on behave Nigerians in Diaspora said they are not ready to return to Nigeria noting that majority of them are fine.
In his words: “yes o, the people I have been seeing something going on on social media concerning the Nigerian government said they want to evacuate Nigerians diaspora (translated from Pidgin).
“You people should just leave us, there is enough pandemic in the world.
“I’m speaking on behalf of Nigerians in Diaspora, in fact, I’m representing 99.9 per cent.
“We are not coming anywhere. We’re not coming. You people should leave us.
“Did we complain. I don’t know who you said that wrote a letter, we didn’t write any letter here.
“Use the money to help others.
