Senator Enyinnanya Abaribe has condemned Igbos having landed properties outside South Eastern Region Charged them to come back to develop the home.
The senator representing Abia East Senatorial District said in a statement retrieved by SCANNEWS24 noted that Igbos men and women are capable of developing factories and create employment.
Reacting bitterly, the most commendable Igbo leader it is unreasonable to fill up the swamp in Lagos and other offshore of Igboland with millions of naira and buy already made buildings in Abuja and Lagos.
He added that every festive period these Igbo landlords and landladies travel home, grab titles and leave back as early January despite the distance without considering those cities are not better than Onitsha, Enugu, Owerri, Abakaliki and Umuahia.
Abaribe said Igbos created the mindset that made them believe Lagos and other cities are better than home including Asaba, Calabar and Akwa Ibom.
He urged every sons and daughter to envisage efforts to campaign and call them to order holding to the experience of past ugly incidents that ought to have taught them lessons both Civil War.
He called on all to create and bring jobs home once the Coronavirus pandemic is over, more especially generating more electricity, building more roads in the region.
