Chatham House lost prestige, reputation for hosting Nigerian charlatans – Lawyer
Heavy criticism has landed on the London-based house, Chatham House after hosting a Nigerian presidential candidate, Alhaji Bola Tinubu, and some party members.
It is called the Royal Institute of International Affairs, a world-leading policy institute with a mission to help governments and societies build a sustainably secure, prosperous, and just world via healthy chat, discussion, research, debate, and others.
Top Nigerians have criticized Tinubu, the leader of the country’s leading party, All Progressive Congress for abandoning national media houses calling for interviews and town-hall meetings and rather securing time with the London House.
Hence, Barrister Malcolm Omirhobo lambasted the coordinators of the event having Tinubu as their guest.
Sharing earlier on his Twitter space, (@malcolminfiniti) on Friday, the Lawyer noted: “Chatham House, lost its prestige and reputation as the world-leading source of independent analysis, informed debate and influential ideas on how to build a prosperous and secure world for all after a group of charlatans from Nigerian visited it.
He then referred “The whole meeting was a joke.
