Buhari appoints Dodo as new ADC
Lieutenant-Colonel Yusuf Muktar Dodo, the Academy Adjutant of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) is said to has been appointed by President Mohammadu Buhari as his new Aide-de-Camp (ADC).
Lt.-Col. Dodo is taking up from Colonel Mohammed Lawal Abubakar, who’s continuing to renew a promotion course, after which he could be promoted to the Brigadier-General rank, together with some others.
Although there’s not more likely to be an official release on the development to the media, sources close to Aso Rock Presidential Villa have confirmed it.
Efforts to reach the Special Adviser, in addition to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, for affirmation on Saturday, have been futile as they were out of reach.
Nonetheless, one other reliable source within the Villa, who preferred his identity be kept secret, confirmed the report, citing the necessity for Colonel Abubakar to embark on promotion course, as the reason.
“It’s true, the President’s ADC is going for a course, he’s due for the rank of Brigadier-General. He’s due to leave someday in February, but a replacement has already been shortlisted”, the source mentioned.
Additionally, a army source, who’s conversant with Dodo, while confirming the event on Saturday, stated: “I already called him to congratulate him. The news is real”. The Nation reports
