A breath of relief as the House of Representatives asked the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Power on Tuesday, to suspend the pending plans to increase electricity bills.
The rep also said the upward review of the electricity tariff will hold on until the National Assembly lifts the embargo.
This was disclosed in Abuja after the House Committee on Power, met with the ministry, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission and distribution companies.
According to reports, the scheduled for implementation of the policy, which takes effect April 1, 2019, will remain on hold until Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker, draws to a conclusion his engagements with the critical stakeholders.Scannews24.com
