Going by what showed in the last five hours on the Nigerian based newspaper company’s Facebook page, majority had resolved that the approved page, with blue badge indicator, has been taken over by a faceless individual.
No official statement has been issued by the company.

Some of the readers bemoan what has suddenly appeared on such a know responsible company, threatened to unlike and unfollow the affected page.
Scannews 24 can authoritatively report that the page has been hacked regards to some changes which is not peculiar to company’s news platform in recent time.
The username of the page, as seen, has been changed to @nunumamabd while the page name remains ‘Nigeria Tribune’.
According to findings by our investigative personnel, members of the public are advised not to click on to watch nor download the advertised pornographic images as it pose to be trap to lure more pages or accounts into their custody.
We advise every account or page operator to activate a ‘two-factor authentication/verification, including on whatsapp, Instagram and Twitter.
What is two-factor authentication/verification?
According to Facebook guidelines, it is a security measure that requires an extra code when you log in.
When you eneble it through your security, Facebook (instagram, WhatsApp) will require a code from your mobile phone during login. This code is created by the Code Generator tool in the Facebook app.
You can also have it sent to your phone via SMS. Use this tool to help protect your account from unauthorized logins.
