BREAKING: Remains of Mugabe remains secret as family fights govt on who buries
Robert Mugabe’s family disagrees with the Zimbabwean government to where the former president will be buried as people patiently waits at the central stadium to pay their last respect.
The family told the government that they want Mugabe to be buried close to his late mother in his village noting that he was betrayed.
The Government disagreed with the stance of the family argued that Mugabe’s body belongs to the government.
Mugabe’s body, according to gathered report, is yet to be disclosed by the time of filing this report.
Mugabe’s death was announced on Monday by the president of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa after a long stay in a Singapore’s hospital since April.
The president’s tweet reads: “It is with the utmost sadness that I announce the passing on of Zimbabwe’s founding father and former President, Cde Robert Mugabe.
“Cde Mugabe was an icon of liberation, a pan-Africanist who dedicated his life to the emancipation and empowerment of his people. His contribution to the history of our nation and continent will never be forgotten. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
Mugabe died at the age of 95 years.
