President Muhammadu Buhari made last minutes appointments in Rural Electrification Company (REA) named Engr. Ahmad Salihijo Ahmad as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Engr Mamman Sale, the Minister of Power, disclosed the news in an announcement this morning.
Mr. Aaron Artimas, who is his Special Adviser on Media and Communications, issued the statement in Abuja, stated that the president also appointed Chief Olaniyi Alaba Netufo as the Executive Director – South West.
The statement also revealed
that Buhari has also appointed Eddi Mietuade Smith Julius as Non-Executive Director, South-South.
Based on Artimas statement, Ahmad is a renewable energy expert, who holds two Masters Degrees in Development Studies and Project Planning.
The statement also note that the new CEO, acquired huge knowledge and planning expertise in energy sector development.
