BREAKING: Obaseki win Edo Governorship Poll

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, in the just concluded Edo State’s gubernatorial election, Godwin Obaseki has been declared winner  by the electoral umpire, INEC on Sunday 20 September 2020.

Despite irregularities that marred activities in Igueben local government following the snatching of Ballot box at ward 8 unit 3, attacked INEC officials, no death was recorded and no ward suspended.

In the troubled LG, APC records 5199 votes while the embattled Governor, Obaseki grabbed 7870 votes. 

The Esan Northeast votes show that the ADP party got 89, PDP outsmarts with 13,579 and APC received 6,556

The central part of Esan LGA submitted 64 for ADP, people’s democratic party led with 10,794 leaving the national leading party behind with 6,719 votes.

Retrieved results from Ikpoba Okah indicated that ADP pulled 323 votes, APC 18,218, and PDP conquered again, chained 41,030

Electorates in Uhunmwonde LGA spoke in a loud voice, share 110 to APD, cast 5,972 votes to APC yet PDP racked 10022 of the total cast.

Total results collated from eighteen (18) LGAs and announced accordingly on Sunday, proved that PDP’s candidate, Godwin Obaseki led with three hundred and seven thousand, nine hundred and fifty-five (307955) votes while APC stocked up behind with two hundred and twenty-three thousand, six hundred and nineteen (223619) votes.
