BREAKING: NLC Embacks On Massive Protest Over Unabated Insecurity Ravaging Nigeria
The Nigeria Labour Congress reportedly set to embark on on massive nationwide rally regards to unabated insecurity ravaging majority of states in Nigeria.
Worried by the rising insecurity in the country the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has concluded plans to embark on a nationwide rally.
Accirding to the Union, the rally is geared to sensitise governments and citizens on the need to urgently arrest the increased case of insecurity including banditry, kidnapping, among others.
The decision was reached in a communique on Monday, being part of the resolutions concluded by the national executive committee of the Union during its recently concluded meeting in Kano State.
During the meeting, According to Channels report, the Labour leaders highlighted the negative effects of the current security situation on the nation’s economy.

Also deliberated during the meeting was the implementation of the new national minimum wage, Channels reports.
The union charged the Federal Government to immediately start the implementation of the celebrated new minimum wage for civil servants.
According to the Union, the Federal and State governments must commence the payment of the new wage immediately, beginning from when the bill was signed into law by the president.
