The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has pledged fifty million Naira (N50,0000,000) relief fund to Biafrans to help subsidize food items through COVID-19 sit at home period.
Kanu disclosed during his evening programme on Radio Biafrans on Thursday, noting that the fund is part of three-hundred million Naira (N300,000,000) proposed to help alleviate hunger throughout the indoor observation.
Major states in the South-East and, South-South had instructed residents in their states to remain indoor as measures to tackle the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.
The order affected markets, Public resorts, wedding, burial, interstate travelling, visitation and major social gathering centres.
Abia, Rivers, and others states had set up a monitoring committee to help effect the orders including the closure of all markets.
Confirming the pledge, IPOB’s Austria Coordinator, Chinasa Nworu shared on his timeline, said the fund is to help Biafrans on food during COVID-19 period.

In the same gesture, Former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar also released the sum of N50m as a palliative measures to help Nigerians through the sit-at-home.
