The leadership of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has just appointed new press secretary, Christy Ekam.
According brief press statement signed by Head of Department (DOS), Chika Edoziem, Christy was solely appointed by the supreme leader of the group, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to assist office of the HoD.
Post on Edoziem’s Facebook official account reads: “The Directorate of State is pleased to welcome into it’s fold Mrs Christy Ekam from Akwa lbom province of Biafraland.
“She was appointed by Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra worldwide as the Press Secretary to the DOS.
We ask CHUKWUOKIKEABIAMA to grant her the strength and commitment to serve Biafra.
Meanwhle, the media coordinator of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Chinasa Nworu has given reasons rampaging Fulani Herdsmen can not occupy any land in South East.
In a post on his Facebook account, the media representative of IPOB said ‘Biafra Volunteers are threat to illegal occupants posing to take-over land in the South East Nigeria.
This is coming weeks after federal government suspended Ruga catle settlement programme on the ground the planned programme lacked ‘due process’.
In his words: “These die hard men called BIAFRA VOLUNTEERS are the reason why Fulani herdsmen cannot take our land , they are the reason why most of you have not being killed , raped or displaced from you villages and towns.
Chinasa however called on people of South East to rise and support the groups to restore Biafra.
“They have died for your seek , they are in prison for your seek , most of them have no homes again because they zoo army and DSS are always trailing them , many have died , they fell in Aba , Nkpor , Head bridge Onitsha and other places in defense of the land .
Support IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to keep them moving , identify yourself from your local IPOB unit and be part of these men who are highly disciplined for the service for Biafra restoration .
They don’t make noise , they don’t demonstrate their strength on social media they engaged the enemies when called , ever ready men who have sworn to lay down their lives for you .
